Hi, I’m diana diaz.
I was a barista in California for many years through college. I loved the environment, I loved creating, I had so much fun with my coworkers, and I got to meet so many new and interesting people. Learning about coffee developed my love for it, from finding out coffee grounds are good for your garden to learning the science behind pulling a great shot and how to taste said shot. I am constantly learning and want to share my love of coffee with you because I truly believe coffee tastes better when it’s made by someone who appreciates the process.
I started Grind & Unwind to serve the Yuma community. I originally wanted to open a coffee shop but fell in the love with the idea of a coffee cart. Many memories and moments are shared over coffee, but sometimes, the logistics of having a large crowd at a coffee shop or picking up coffee to go don’t work out. So instead, I bring the coffee shop vibe to you and create an environment for people to bond over a cup of coffee. I am not just making you coffee. I am helping you create memories.
Espresso
Each shot begins with the beans. Espresso beans are freshly roasted in Phoenix, AZ. At your event, the beans are ground onsite, weighed, and carefully dialed-in to create the perfect shot. You'll notice the difference when you experience a drink made by someone who truly cares about the process.
The machine
Delight in the beauty that is the GS3 created by La Marzocco, an Italian company. This espresso machine is the highlight of the cart, with enough power to quickly make drinks and cater to large events.
Building the cart
The coffee cart was designed to be quickly assembled and disassembled, meaning it can fit into just about any space. Additionally, the cart includes plumbing for hand washing, pitcher rinsing, and shot pulling. The cart is the foundation of your private coffee shop experience and is where all the magic happens.
